World Mosquito Day

August 20 is World Mosquito Day, an annual public health awareness day supported by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and its partners (in Europe ECDC – CDC works with domestic and international partners to prevent outbreaks and address public health problems related to infections. During this day, CDC and partners aim to raise awareness among the public and healthcare providers about mosquito-borne diseases like West Nile virus, malaria, dengue, and Zika.
