New annual event: European Pest Management Day
Full detail of Speaker Presentations
Photo report European Pest Management Day is a new annual event introduced this year by CEPA and to be held on the 28th/29th November 2007 at the stylish and modern Silken Berlaymont Hotel, in the centre of the European Parliament District of Brussels. European Pest Management Day will provide a platform to address the key political factors affecting the European industry, to review and discuss the future challenges to the industry and to hear the views of speakers from the European Commission, from manufacturers and suppliers and from fellow international representative bodies. Commenting on the new event, Robert Stuyt, CEPA President said: 'Having observed Legislation Day organised by NPMA in the United States, it was obvious much can be achieved by drawing the industry together and concentrating on current key legislative issues. We have taken note of the U.S. event and come up with a programme appropriate to the European cultural and political environment'. The over-riding objective of European Pest Management Day is therefore, to provide a unifying event, bringing together the pest control industry including national associations, manufacturers, distributors, service providers and consultants and allowing full discussion of topics critical to the future of the industry in Europe. The event will open on the evening of the 28th November with the CEPA International Cocktail Reception starting at 19.00 in the Schuman Lobby of the Silken Berlaymont Hotel, giving the chance to meet old and new friends and to network with Industry and CEPA guests before enjoying a 4-course Gala Dinner prepared by the superb kitchens of the Berlaymont Hotel. The following day will centre on the Conference programme which will include, among other topics, the future impact of the Biocide and Service Directives plus the opportunity to listen to and question speakers from the European Commission and Industry. After the Conference, fom 16.00 to 18.30 there will be the opportunity to take a tour of the nearby European Parliament. The visit is now available to all CEPA Delegates and their guests but early booking and registration for places is essential to meet European Parliament Security procedures. |
