CEPA offers its expertise to the EU during COVID-19

24/03/2020

As protectors of public health, our role in supporting the well-being of European citizens is more crucial than ever.

As governments across Europe are taking the threat of COVID-19 more and more seriously, Brussels too has gone into lockdown. The Board of Directors has been hard at work preparing a letter offering the support of the pest management industry which has been sent to key EU politicians by Henry Mott, CEPA President, highlighting the essential role of pest management and our willingness to be a key partner for the EU in these uncertain times.

The pest management industry is key to avoiding pest-related issues that pose a threat to other industries such as the food and medical industries. In the past, we have been a key partner for national authorities during epidemics such as Swine Flu, SARS and Avian Flu.

We take our role very seriously and that is one of the reasons why we are fighting for the recognition of professionally trained pest managers to be one of the pillars of public health. We would be very pleased to offer our help and put our expertise at your service for the protection of the health of European citizens.
