COVID-19: CEPA offers its expertise to the EU

26/03/2020

As protectors of public health, our role in supporting the well-being of European citizens is more crucial than ever.

As governments across Europe are taking the threat of COVID-19 more and more seriously, Brussels too has gone into lockdown. During this complicated period, CEPA is offering the support of its professionally trained pest management organisations to the EU institutions.

CEPA, made up of over 10,000 SMEs with around 50,000 employees, is ready and willing to be a key partner for the EU in these uncertain times, in order to contribute to the protection of the health of European citizens.

The pest management industry is key to avoiding pest-related issues that pose a threat to other industries such as the food and medical industries. In the past, we have been a key partner for national authorities during epidemics such as Swine Flu, SARS and Avian Flu.

We take our role very seriously and that is one of the reasons why we are fighting for the recognition of professionally trained pest managers to be one of the pillars of public health.
